Pose Running Technique Specialist/video analysis:

At Move PT & Wellness, our providers use advanced video analysis to break down your running form with precision. We review the footage together, educating you on your movement patterns and discussing specific techniques that may be contributing to pain or inefficiency.

Using targeted drills and corrective exercises, we retrain your running form to promote safer, more effective movement. Our approach incorporates the principles of the POSE Method, which emphasizes key elements of natural running—such as gravity, body weight, forward lean, and change of support—to help you run faster, farther, and most importantly, injury-free.

SFMA & FMS - Functional Movement Systems:

At Move PT & Wellness, we use a movement-based diagnostic approach to identify the true root of your pain or injury. By analyzing functional movement patterns, we can determine where breakdowns occur in the kinetic chain and address the underlying cause—not just the symptoms.

Our providers take a whole-body approach, examining how each area of the body works together rather than focusing on isolated parts. By identifying and correcting dysfunctional movement patterns, we are able to pinpoint the exact source of your pain and create a targeted, effective treatment plan.

Medicupping Therapy:

Cupping therapy uses gentle suction and negative pressure to reduce muscle tension, improve blood flow, calm the nervous system, and relieve pain. This technique supports healing by promoting circulation and helping tight or restricted tissues relax more effectively.

Specialized taping techniques:

Through extensive continuing education and hands-on experience in athletic training environments, our providers are skilled in a wide range of taping techniques. These methods are used to enhance stability, support proper posture, and improve neuromuscular activation—helping patients move with greater confidence and reduced pain.

Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization:

Instrument-assisted soft tissue tools are used to manually detect and treat fascial restrictions, helping us precisely identify problem areas. This technique promotes effective treatment of soft tissue fibrosis, chronic inflammation, and tissue degeneration, supporting faster healing and improved mobility.

Traditional physical therapy:

Manual Therapy
Our manual therapy approach includes a wide range of hands-on techniques such as joint mobilizations, stretching, traction, soft tissue mobilization, massage, muscle energy techniques, nerve gliding, myofascial release, and scar mobilization. These techniques work to improve blood flow, restore mobility in restricted areas, reduce musculoskeletal pain, and enhance overall function. By addressing the underlying limitations in soft tissue and joint mechanics, we help your body move more freely and efficiently.

Therapeutic Exercise
Therapeutic exercise is used to correct muscular imbalances and improve strength, stability, and movement patterns. Each exercise is tailored specifically to the individual patient and is taught with careful guidance to ensure proper technique without compensations. Because our sessions are fully one-on-one and hands-on, you will progress through your exercises only when you’ve mastered proper form and understand their purpose. Your program evolves throughout your treatment based on how your body responds—unlike many clinics that rely on generic, repetitive exercise routines performed with a technician. This personalized approach helps you build lasting strength and prevent reinjury.

Posture Analysis
Our providers use a structured, detailed process to evaluate each patient’s posture and overall musculoskeletal alignment. Years of experience have shown that improper alignment places unnecessary stress on joints and soft tissues, accelerating wear and contributing to pain and dysfunction. By identifying deviations in posture and teaching you how to correct them, we help reduce stress on the body, slow degenerative processes, and enhance both comfort and performance. Understanding proper alignment empowers patients to take an active role in their recovery and long-term wellness.

Modalities:

(Shockwave/Ultrasound/Class IV Laser)

Shockwave

Shockwave therapy uses high-energy radial pressure waves to stimulate the body’s natural healing response. This non-invasive treatment increases blood flow, breaks down dysfunctional tissue, reduces pain, and accelerates recovery in chronic or stubborn musculoskeletal conditions. It is especially effective for tendon injuries, plantar fasciitis, tight muscle bands, and areas that have not responded to traditional care.

Ultrasound
Ultrasound therapy uses sound waves to deliver deep, targeted heat to soft tissues, promoting increased blood flow, reduced inflammation, and accelerated healing. This treatment is commonly used for muscle strains, ligament injuries, tendon irritation, and areas of chronic tightness to support tissue repair and improve mobility.

Class IV Laser
Class IV laser therapy delivers concentrated light energy deep into tissues to reduce inflammation, decrease pain, and accelerate cellular healing. This non-invasive treatment enhances circulation, promotes tissue repair, and is highly effective for acute injuries, chronic pain, joint conditions, and stubborn soft tissue disorders.

Interferential Electric Stimulation
Interferential Electric Stimulation uses low-frequency electrical currents to reduce pain, decrease muscle spasms, and promote healing. By targeting deeper tissues than traditional electrical stimulation, this therapy helps calm irritated nerves, improve circulation, and support faster recovery from both acute and chronic conditions.

Neuromuscular Electric Stimulation
Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES) uses controlled electrical impulses to activate targeted muscles, helping improve strength, coordination, and neuromuscular control. This therapy is especially beneficial after injury or surgery, when muscles may be weak or inhibited, and supports quicker, more effective rehabilitation.

Nasal release technique:

Cranial mobilization is a gentle yet powerful structural technique used to adjust the bones of the skull and improve the movement of surrounding tissues. This intervention is commonly used to treat concussions, headaches, sinus issues, and other conditions related to cranial tension or dysfunction. By restoring proper mobility, it helps reduce pain and supports optimal neurological and sinus function.

ACL Prevention & Return to play:

We use objective, evidence-based screening tools to assess an athlete’s risk for ACL injury and identify movement patterns that may contribute to that risk. Based on these findings, our providers develop corrective exercises to improve strength, stability, and biomechanics, helping reduce the likelihood of injury.

For athletes recovering from an ACL tear, we follow structured testing guidelines to ensure a safe and confident return to sport without increasing the risk of re-injury.

Balance/Vestibular Rehabilitation:

Vestibular rehabilitation is a specialized form of physical therapy designed to treat dizziness, vertigo, balance problems, and other vestibular disorders. Using detailed assessments, our therapists identify the underlying cause of your symptoms and apply targeted manual techniques to improve posture and reduce vestibular irritation. Repositioning maneuvers are used when appropriate, and an individualized, exercise-based program is developed to promote vestibular adaptation, improve balance, and restore confidence in daily movement.

Concierge Physical Therapy:

Concierge physical therapy provides personalized, one-on-one care delivered directly to you—whether at your home, office, or preferred location. This service offers extended appointment times, flexible scheduling, and highly individualized treatment plans tailored to your goals and lifestyle. It is designed for patients seeking exceptional convenience, privacy, and continuity of care beyond the traditional clinic setting.

Pediatric Physical Therapy:

Pediatric physical therapy helps children improve movement, strength, and functional skills while addressing a wide range of conditions. Our therapists treat developmental delays, torticollis, plagiocephaly, musculoskeletal injuries, and many other pediatric diagnoses. Through individualized, play-based interventions, we support each child’s growth, mobility, and overall development.
